This 17,000 sq.ft. police building includes all administrative and operational functions for the Town. Kawartha Lakes Police Services has a resident population of approximately 20,000. The facility is designed to accommodate growth for a 15-year planning horizon. Accommodation includes cell-block, garages, identification, detective, communications centre, administration offices, community services, and community meeting room.
Materials selected for this building reflect the urban context and the civic centre in the town, and provide a dignified presence for the Police Service amongst the other Institutional Buildings.
